BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA (GaeaTimes.com) - Diego Maradona, coach of Argentina’s Soccer team was sacked on Tuesday by the unanimous decision of the country’s Football Association (AFA).
Maradona had a contract with the football association till world Cup 2014. But on Tuesday, he was asked not to renew his contract.
The former player was given a hero’s welcome despite the team’s defeat in the World Cup quarter final by Germany. But Maradona’s popularity among his fans could not save him from losing his job.
