HAVEN (GaeaTimes.com)- In spite of the heartbreaking playoffs results at the 92nd US PGA Championship, Bubba Watson maintained the charm that made him one of the biggest draws of the tournament. After leading in the first round of the tournament, few could have predicted that the self taught golfer would make it into the top three and play with ample class to outshine some of the most technically sound players. The playoffs was also not without drama as Bubba Watson landed in the water hazard in one of the holes and also came close to hitting an almost miraculous birdie.

In spite of the loss to German Martin Kaymer, Bubba Watson was seen bubbling with joy at the prospect of making it into the team for the Ryder Cup 2010. He said that he wanted to play in the Ryder Cup ever since he was a kid. The runner up of the PGA Championship said that it was a bigger thrill to know that he will be playing in the Ryder Cup than even if had won the championship. Considered to be one of the most outspoken and entertaining golfers, Bubba Watson was also seen emotional earlier on in the tournament when he spoke of his family.

Bubba Watson spoke at length about his emotions during the game and what he expects at the Ryder Cup. He also compared himself to Tiger Woods jokingly saying that like the World No.1 he came into the tournament to win it but also added that he did not win like Tiger Woods did. It is unclear whether the controversial numero uno will be a part of the Ryder Cup team, but Tiger Woods said that he is hoping to play in the tournament.
