NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com) — Dustin Johnson lost it in his 72nd hole. He grounded his club in an area without recognizing the fact that it was a bunker. Dustin Johnson blew up in the final round of the U.S. Open on Sunday at the PGA Championship. He was penalized two shots which kept him out of a playoff.

Johnson was at a 1-stroke lead when he reached his 72nd Tee. Dustin hit a drive so far right that he found one of those weird little Whistling Straits bunkers.

Whistling Straits has around 1,000 bunkers. These are mostly considered cosmetic - not in play. Interestingly these are of various shapes and sizes. Some can really get you puzzled - they don’t look like bunkers that you can think of. Dustin also mistook such a bunker.

Well Johnson, better luck next time. But seriously, is this the way it should be ? C’mon it is really hard for someone to make up his mind on this unusual set of bunkers.
