DAMBULLA - All-rounder Scott Styris believes his time out of international cricket is behind his improving form for the Black Caps.

According to the New Zealand Herald, the 35-year-old has averaged 52 in one-day cricket in 2010 after losing his place in the one-day team at the start of last summer.

Styris says he is looking forward to training again and working hard and it’s helped him deserve his place in the side.

The Black Caps face Sri Lanka in their third tri-series match in Dambulla tonight.

The match is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. (ANI)
