LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- NBA star Ron Artest was pulled over for driving around in a car that only a few can dream of owning. The latest photos circulating on the web show the basketball player smiling at an officer from inside an Indy car. Reports suggest that the player was pulled over for over speeding in the over-sized go cart. The hilarious photo has become a rage on the web which forced the rep of the star to state that the reason for the pulling over was that the registration of the car had expired. Insiders have revealed that the car is called Eagle Roadster and it is built like an Indycar. The red colored two seater sure looks like something straight out of a racetrack but authorities insist that the swanky vehicle is ‘legal’ on road as well.

Ron Artest’s rep has explained that the NBA star is not the original owner of the car and he had acquired it from the original owner years ago. She also said that Ron Artest is not a car freak and does not own a huge garage full of glitzy rides. The official website of Eagle Roadster says that the car is built for extraordinary speeds and is fitted with a Chrysler Engine.

The 1960 pound Eagle Roadster can generate 253 HP and is no ordinary ride that one sees on the road. Ron Artest’s publicist has said that though Ron Artest received a citation, he was not fined by the officer. Considering the hype the photo has generated, more details of the incident are expected to trickle in the days to come.
