Footballer Kenny McKinley found dead

San Francisco (GaeaTimes.com) - The South Carolina football sport star Kenny McKinley was found dead in his apartment in Colorado, Colo. He was a wide receiver in Denver Broncos in the National Football League. The Team has got another tragic setback with the demise of the fourth player in last three years.

The authorities reached his home in central Centennia at about 3:35 p.m. after being phoned by a female friend of McKinley called Josina Anderson. She discovered his corpse after returning home with his child from an errand.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson told the Denver Post that they found his body lying in the second floor master bedroom. According to the investigators the death is apparently a suicide. He killed himself with a self inflicted gun shot. He further added,

It’s still part of our investigation and probably nothing we’ll talk about right now.

The 31 January 1987 born 23 years old football star was remembered for his infectious smile and good sense of humor. He was on injured reserve for knee injury since last August. The entire team is in shock with his sudden demise. The president and CEO of Broncos Pat Bowlen quoted on the official website,

Everyone with the Broncos is shocked and saddened by the loss of Kenny McKinley. He was part of the Broncos family and will be greatly missed by our organization. My most heartfelt condolences go out to Kenny’s family and friends.

The team has arranged a full team condolence meeting on Monday in Dove Valley to discuss his tragic death. Grief counselors will be available to help the players.
