Rams receive 24-hour extension

ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Rams have received a 24-hour extension to meet requirements for a sellout for Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins.

Team spokesman Ted Crews said Thursday that plenty of seats were available. Crews said the Rams were optimistic they could sell enough remaining tickets to avoid a television blackout.

The Rams are 1-17 the last two seasons, including an 0-2 start this year, but interest has picked up since the team drafted quarterback Sam Bradford with the first pick and installed him as the starter for the opener.
