Missouri’s extra-point streak ends at 252

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri’s Grant Ressel hit the right goalpost on an extra-point kick early in the third quarter, ending the school’s streak of 252 in a row since 2005.

Missouri ended up 10 shy of the NCAA record set by Syracuse from 1978 to 1989 by seven different kickers. Three kickers were involved in the Tigers’ streak. Jeff Wolfert had 185 of the PATs.

Ressel, a junior, made his first 15 extra-point kicks this season and began Saturday’s game against Miami of Ohio 7 for 8 on field goal attempts this season. Missouri led Miami of Ohio 34-3 early in the third quarter.
