NEWPORT (GaeaTimes.com)- The US team taking part in Ryder Cup had to undergo some extreme conditions on the field yesterday as their rain gear provided by the Sun Mountain company did not hold in the downpour and the players were wet to the skin. The Captain of the team described the unfortunate event as ” We were disappointed with the performance of them, and you know, we just fixed it”. They did fix it when Captain Corey Pavin went ahead and bought new waterproof gear for his team. The day did not turn out be a good one as play had to be suspended due to the heavy downpour. However the event is being modified in such a way that it is supposed to end on Oct 3 as planned.

The Sun Mountain company which had provided the rain gear is having the problem examined. The company has a good repute and is said to have provided rain gear to 3000 plus PGA of American professionals and over 150 tour players. The new gear only has the logo of the team as compared to the previous rain gear which had the letters “USA” and the last name of the players. However, the players must be more than glad to have decent rain gear. The problem was previously noticed on Tuesday when after their practice match in the rain the rain suits took a lot of time to dry.

The incident is an uncomfortable one for the Sun Mountain company who have designed and sold outwears for two decades and they will be doing their best to fix the problem with the rain gear. For the team though the problem appears to have been solved.
