LONDON - British Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton insists that he can still come from behind to win this year’s championship title race.

Hamilton shrugged off a run of poor results to finish second in Sunday’s rain-hit Korean Grand Prix.

With two races to go, and a maximum 50 points to be won under the new scoring system, the 25-year-old (210 points) is 21 points behind Ferrari’s title leader Fernando Alonso (231 points).

“We can still do this. The championship definitely isn’t out of reach. I think it was a wonderful day.

In terms of finishing and scoring points it was better than the last few races, which have been very tricky. We’ve got two races ahead of us and we have more coming for the car,” the Sun quoted Hamilton, as saying.

“The guys at the factory are doing a great job. Everyone’s enthusiastic and pushing as hard as they can. It was great to compete for the win, but still it wasn’t perfect.”

“We still had things we struggled with and we’re clearly the third-fastest car, but that doesn’t mean we can’t step forward in the next two,” he added.

Red Bull’s Mark Webber is at second place with 220 points, while his team-mate Sebastian Vettel is fourth with 206 points. (ANI)
