PERTH/BRISBANE - England has sent their frontline bowlers to Brisbane to acclimatise for the first Ashes Test at the Gabba.

This is a radical Ashes strategy. The bowlers were earlier scheduled to go to Tasmania for the final tour game in the lead-up to the first Test.

According to Fox Sports, England’s brains trust appears reluctant for the team’s best quicks to be trundling in on a backbreaking, slow and low pitch at Hobart’s Bellerive Oval in the final tour game against Australia A, which starts on November 17.

The first Test starts in Brisbane on November 25 and England’s quicks will be spending more time up in the Sunshine State than they will in the Apple Isle. (ANI)
