MELBOURNE - Former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash, who is presently the coach of the Australian tennis team, isn’t pinning his hopes on youngster Bernard Tomic just yet, even as many others think is the find of the sport in the country.

Cash sees huge potential in big-hitting Tomic, a Wimbledon Junior champion, but still feels knows there’s plenty to do to convert the talent into senior results.

“Most of the people are talking about Bernard Tomic but, you know, he’s got a long way to go,” The Age quoted Cash, as saying.

“He’s a good young player, he’s only 18 … but there are a other good players out there,” he added.

“We’ve got quite a lot of talented juniors. I think one of our problems is we put a lot of pressure on young guys and we expect them to come through … and it’s because we have such a great history in tennis. The game of tennis is much bigger now than it was so it’s tough to expect the young guys to come through. So, we’ll see what happens,” Cash said. (ANI)
