Asian Games boxing: Vijender wins gold; silver for Santhosh, Manpreet

GUANGZHOU - India’s Manpreet Singh was thrashed 1-8 by Mohammad Ghossoun of Syria to finish with a sliver in the men’s 91-kg boxing in the Asian games here Friday.

Earlier, India’s Vijender Singh clinched the gold in the 75 kg category with a convincing win.

Vijender blanked Abbos Atoev of Uzbekistan 7-0 in a lopsided affair.
