LONDON - Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that he is under pressure to get his team to perform, but insists that club owner Roman Abramovich is “happy” for him to stay on despite the team’s latest flop.

“Roman is happy when the team plays good football and he was happy after the game at Birmingham. The owner doesn’t put me under pressure, he always supports me,” The Sun quoted Ancelotti, as saying.

However, Ancelotti admitted that things must improve immediately, starting with today’s match against Newcastle.

“You only have to look at results to see I am under pressure. But to be under pressure doesn’t mean I am not safe,” Ancelotti said.

“We’ve had a lot of criticism lately and I agree with it. There is good reason to be critical after recent results,” he added. (ANI)
