LONDON - A premier league team has come up with the idea of introducing their own line of lingerie for female fans to sport.

Wolverhampton Wanderers came up with the idea of creating a range of bras, French knickers and stockings in the club’s colours and emblazoned with the club logo.

Businessman Paul Robinson, 45, who dreamt up the idea on the way to a Wolves match with friend Jon Guy, is confident his fantastic range of underwear will be a hit with the ladies.

“We got talking and I suggested having lingerie in club colours - in this case black and gold. Jon’s in marketing and advertising, and he thought it was a great idea,” the Sun quoted him as saying.

They made up some samples and presented them to Molineux’s head of retail Peter Pridmore, who went for the idea, and not the range is set to be launched at the Midlands club’s team shops.

“Women make up around 20 percent of football supporters but only three to five per cent of club merchandise is aimed at them,” Pridmore, a former steelworker, said.

“All there seems to be for women in club shops up and down the country are pink T-shirts.

“I looked at all the Premier League club brochures and found no one was doing anything sassy for female fans,” he added. (ANI)
