QUEBEC CITY (GaeaTimes.com)- It was a hard hitting light weight championship match between Canadian boxer Jean Pascal and Philadelphia boxer Bernard Hopkins on Saturday night and the match was settled on a majority draw in favor of the former. American judge Steve Morrow have 114-112 to Bernard Hopkins, however, both Canadian and Belgian judges, Claude Paquette and Daniel Van de Wiele gave the fighters a respective 113-113 and 114-114. About 16,000 audience gathered in the stadium to cheer for their favorite fighters as they faced each other for the much coveted title. Bernard Hopkins vs Jean Pascal bout turned out to be a complete entertaining one as the fighters gave away little to the other.

Bernard Hopkins vs Jean Pascal fight sparked a lot of controversy and some of the media sources claimed that it was not a fair decision. In the post fight press conference Bernard Hopkins told that he feels that the decision was a complete robbery of the match. The American boxer said that he still cannot react as he knows that the world has seen that he fought like a fighter. He said that the fans have seen that he had beaten up Jean Pascal on the ring. Bernard Hopkins said that he dominated the ring from the beginning but the result was unjustified.

On the other hand, in the interview after Bernard Hopkins vs Jean Pascal fight, the winner said that he still feels there was no controversy and he has won the fight. He said that he has dropped the American boxer twice and if Bernard Hopkins wants a rematch, he is ready to do that as well. The American boxer has made allegations against the Canadian judges saying that the decision was not fair, however, Jean Pascal said that Canadian judges are fair.
