NEW DELHI - Kings XI Punjab Friday said Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara and Australian Shaun Marsh have rubbished media reports about them writing to the Indian cricket board regarding non-payment of Indian Premier League dues and clarified that they have received the money.

“Kumar Sangakkara and Shaun Marsh have strongly refuted the reportage about them writing to BCCI on non-payment of IPL dues,” Arvinder Singh, chief operating officer, Kings XI Punjab, said in a statement.

“On the contrary, they have been in constant touch with us and have reconfirmed that they have received all their dues. In addition, both players mentioned that if given a chance they would like to play for King XI Punjab in the upcoming season of IPL.”

Media reports had said that Sangakkara wrote to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) about non-payment of his dues.
