LONDON - With no clear news on Roy Hodgson’s future, Liverpool is in chaos as it goes to Old Trafford tomorrow.

Several senior Liverpool players are convinced that Hodgson will not be in charge for the FA Cup clash.

“Nobody believes he has a future here any more. In fact making him lead the team out at Old Trafford of all places would just be humiliating,” the Sun quoted an insider, as saying.

“Everyone thinks Roy spent yesterday negotiating his pay-off terms,” the insider said.

But under-fire Hodgson took training yesterday and still officially remains in the job.

Hodgson has not yet been sacked, but had already given a farewell speech after Wednesday’s 3-1 shock defeat at Blackburn.

He managed only seven wins but has nine defeats in his 20 games in charge, with two of the reverses coming against Premier League newcomers Blackpool and Wolves.

“Roy was very down and emotional. He said things like It’s been a pleasure working with you all but I’m sure the owners will want me out after this. And he even added It’s no fun hearing your own fans singing another manager’s name every two minutes,” a club insider said. (ANI)
