LONDON - Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp should be England’s manager after Italian Fabio Capello completes his contract in 2012.

Ferguson believes there is no need to look any further than White Hart Lane when Capello’s time is up.

“If the FA are saying that the job has to go to an Englishman, then that reduces the candidates - there is not even a shortlist. You’re talking about one or two - so Harry has to come into the equation.”

The Daily Express further quoted him, as saying: “I think anyone who has served their time in the way Harry has - then they deserve their recognition. You deserve to be recognised for hard work and achievements.”

Ferguson also believes Redknapp should be more relaxed over the ‘wheeler-dealer’ tag which the Spurs boss has railed against. (ANI)
