LONDON - Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has said it is only a matter of time before the club starts moving in the right direction under new manager Kenny Dalglish.

On Sunday, King Kenny bagged his first point since returning to Anfield in a nerve-wrecking 2-2 draw, The Sun reports.

Torres, who played his 100th league game for the Reds against Everton, insisted: “We are improving and moving in the right direction. We are playing better. The most important thing is getting results and if we keep playing like that they will come soon.”

Liverpool have not won since beating Bolton 2-1 on New Year’s Day and languish in 13th place, four points off the drop zone, The Sun reports.

Torres knows the team has to turn performances into wins soon, starting with Saturday’s trip to Wolves.

“We need to start picking up three points every game but if we had taken our chances against Everton we would have been winning by two or three at half-time,” he said.

“Our target is to win. We will see what happens at the end of the season but it’s a long time since our last win,” Torres said.

Dalglish’s doubters accuse him of being out of the game for too long, yet the Scot has certainly lost none of his determination to make bold decisions, The Sun reports.

He is already making plans to strengthen the squad with Ajax striker Luis Suarez and Aston Villa’s Ashley Young in his sights. Dalglish also wants to bring Stephen Warnock back from Villa to solve the problem at left-back. (ANI)
