South Africa score 250/9 in Centurion ODI

CENTURION - South Africa scored 250 for nine against India in the fifth and final ODI here Sunday that was reduced to a 46-over game after rain curtailed play.

Hashim Amla struck 116 and Morne Van Wyk 56. Jean Paul Duminy added 35.

For India, Munaf Patel took three wickets while Zaheer Khan took two wickets.

South Africa were cruising to a bigger total when rain halted play with the hosts at 226/3 and Amla and Duminy at the crease.

The Indian bowlers came back strongly after resumption of play and South Africa lost six wickets for the addition of 19 runs.
