Mayfield withdraws entry at Dover
DOVER, Del. — The Sprint Cup team owned by suspended driver and owner Jeremy Mayfield has withdrawn its entry for this weekend’s race at Dover International Speedway.
Mayfield Motorsports did not take the No. 41 to Dover and attempt to qualify for Sunday’s race. J.J. Yeley was originally on the entry list, but a posting on his Web site says he will not be traveling to Dover. There was no team hauler in the Cup garage Friday.
Mayfield was suspended May 9 for failing a random drug test.
