Rooney should now make the most of Ronaldo’s exit

LONDON - Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney should make the most out of the departure of star winger Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid, the Sun reports.
According to the tabloid, Rooney had become an increasingly frustrated figure at Manchester United, having been pushed wide left to accommodate Ronaldo.
But now with Ronaldo’s exit, the center should be Rooney territory, as he has proved by his brilliant goal scoring run - 10 in his last seven games - for England.
Coach Fabio Capello revealed he has got the best out of Rooney by telling him to play in the middle where goals are scored.
Before the World Cup qualifier in Kazakhstan, Rooney spoke of his desire for a more central role at United.
He said: “The position I play for my country is the one I like most. I haven’t played there for a while for United and it is the manager’s choice.” (ANI)
