Chelsea to bid for Carlos Tevez

LONDON - FA cup champion Chelsea’s new manager Carlo Ancelotti has expressed his desire to have Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez in his team.
Though Manchester City is all set to pouch Tevez, Chelsea is expected to make a last-ditch bid to hijack Tevez’s 30 million pound move to Manchester City, the News of the World reports.
It is also believed that Chelsea has had various meetings with Tevez’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, and have conveyed their interest of having a deal with the Argentine national.
Earlier, Carlo Ancelotti had specified Bayern Munich’s French star Franck Ribery as his primary target, and with owner of the club, Roman Abramovich willing to spend big, Tevez would be a excellent addition.
If Abramovich can match the striker’s 100,000-a-week wage demands, a move to the Blues may not be completely out of the question for Tevez. (ANI)
