Tevez passes physical, completes move to Man City
MANCHESTER, England — Carlos Tevez has completed his move to Manchester City on a five-year deal after passing his medical examination.
The 25-year-old Tevez left Manchester United after winning two Premier League titles, the Champions League and the Club World Cup in just two seasons.
Tevez will be unveiled later Tuesday at City’s stadium. On Wednesday, he will fly to South Africa with his new teammates for a three-match tour.
The deal with the group that owned Tevez’s economic rights has been ratified by the league and Football Association. It will see City assume total registration rights, drawing a line under the contract dispute that has lingered since Tevez joined West Ham in 2006.
