Semifinals suspended at Prague Open due to rain
PRAGUE — Both semifinal matches at the Prague Open have been suspended because of rain.
Second-seeded Sybille Bammer of Austria was leading No. 3 Iveta Benesova of the Czech Republic 3-0 in the first set on Saturday when play was stopped. Top-seeded Francesca Schiavone of Italy was slated to play Timea Bacsinszky of Switzerland in the other semifinal.
The matches are now scheduled for Sunday before the final.
