Angry Terry refuses to commit future to Chelsea

LONDON - An angry England and Chelsea captain John Terry is refusing to commit his future to the club because of the harassment that he has been subjected to during the team’s tour of the United States.

According to The Mirror, Terry has reportedly told friends and club mates that the Chelsea management is putting too much pressure on him to break his silence and scotch talk of a move to Manchester City.

And despite widespread reports that he will not be leaving Chelsea, Terry insists he has not given the Roman Abramovich-owned club assurances that he will remain at Stamford Bridge.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti has put his own reputation on the line by saying: “For sure, Terry will stay at Chelsea.

Striker Didier Drogba has also insisted: “He’s not going to leave. He’s our captain. There’s only one captain.”

But 28-year-old defender Terry has not made up his mind to resist a 40-million-pound move to join Mark Hughes’s (right) Manchester City revolution.

And there have been no talks with his advisers about an offer of a new 150,000-pound-a-week deal.

A close friend said last night: “JT doesn’t want to speculate about his future until he returns to England on Tuesday and has time to speak to his family and his advisers. But it appears Chelsea seem to think harassing him at every given opportunity and giving misleading briefings to the media will force him into submission.”

Terry future at Chelsea is far from assured - even though he could stay at the club where he rose through the ranks to become the Blues’ most successful captain. (ANI)

This article was obivously written moments before JT came out with comments committing himself to Chelsea.

It just shows how media can work and can sometimes be right but often so far from the mark.

Good journalism? Hmm.. let you make up your mind
