Debutant Trott ready for his brand of KP heroics at The Oval

SURREY - England batsman Jonathan Trott, who makes his debut in the fifth and final Ashes Test at The Oval, is convinced that he can withstand the crushing pressure of the series decider.
Trott further said that he will take inspiration from Kevin Pietersen, his one-time teenage rival in South Africa.
“I’m a lot calmer before I bat than I used to be. It will be interesting to see if I am nervous. But, I’m sure I’ll be fine. I’m just trying to keep things simple and, hopefully, I’ll be good enough and perform,” The Sun quoted Trott, as saying.
“Any match in which you make your debut will be huge, but I’ve picked a good one, I think! I can’t wait to get down to The Oval and start training. I’m playing pretty well. I take a lot of confidence from my century last week,” he added.
Trott, a replacement for Ravi Bopara, would bat at No 4, and if he performs like KP did with his epic 158 at The Oval in 2005, he is up for winning over many of the skeptics.
“A lot of people compare me to Kevin. I don’t look to emulate anyone, but if I see someone do something well, I’ll try to copy it,” Trott said.
With reports of Aussies preparing their special tactics to test Trott’s technique, he said: “We’ll see how the Aussies approach me. I’ve thought about it for a while and it should be good fun.” ANI)
