Wenger hails team spirit after routing Everton 6-1

LONDON - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hailed Arsenal’s special team spirit after routing Everton 6-1 in Saturday’s Premier League opener.
The score proved Wenger’s decision to sell striker Emmanuel Adebayor and centre-back Kolo Toure to Manchester City as a right one.
There were some differences as, Adebayor was at war with fellow striker Nicklas Bendtner, while Toure did not speak to defensive partner William Gallas.
“We have a united spirit, but you have to take care of your attitude and the spirit in the side. It is as fragile as the weather in England. It can become quickly cloudy,” The Sun quoted Wenger, as saying.
“When you have no attitude or spirit you have no results. I believe we have a good attitude and a strong togetherness and that came out on Saturday,” he added.
Though Wenger voiced about the team spirit, he refused to comment particularly on Adebayor and Toure, Wenger said: “I’m not sure but I don’t want publicly to come out on that.” (ANI)
