Force Hood leads Funny Car at Mohnton

MOHNTON, Pa. — Ashley Force Hood led qualifying for the Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals after a 4.114-second pass at 301.47 mph in her Funny Car on Friday night.

Force Hood was four spots ahead of her father, John Force, who ran 299 flat in 4.159 seconds.

In Top Fuel, Morgan Lucas raced to the lead, hitting 307.37 mph in 3.867 seconds, just edging out Larry Dixon’s 3.889 seconds at 310.20 mph.

Mike Edwards topped Pro Stock with a 6.640-second run at 207.78 mph. In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Hector Arana’s 6.986 in 190.11 was best.
