On Monday night Miami’s quarterback Jacory Harris played a scintillating game resulting in Miami’s win over Florida State in the college football team. In this sensational game Harris played like a star even with an arm that was numb from being hit.
Harris’ game showed why other quarterbacks of Miami shifted to other teams. Robert Marve left Miami Hurricanes for Purdue and earlier in the month of August this year, two other quarterbacks also opted out of Miami Hurricanes and registered in different teams.
Miami Hurricanes put forth the best defence to bring down Florida State University. Harris held a strong partnership with Graig Cooper all the way down to the 24-yard to score a valuable point to tie the game with FSU at 31. But Florida State again lead when Dustin Hopkins 45-yard goal with just over 4 minutes left. It was then that Miami Hurricanes blew past FSU, when Harris made a perfect 40-yard pass to Travis Benjamin for a touchdown and a satisfactory win.
Harris was marvellously flawless during the entire play, even when he got hurt on the second turnover. “It was just a bad funny bone incident,” Harris said. “My whole arm went numb. I had to fight through. I had to help this team to win.”
Miami coach Randy Shanon had nothing but praise for Jacory Harrris. He was proud by the way his quarterback played. He compared Harris with the likes of Kosar, Walsh and Dorsey.
Harris said, “I was just thinking my team fought through this so long and so hard. All the preparation and it came down to this. Our defence I know they was going to pull through at the end.”
