Monday Night Football: Broncos Wins Against Chargers

Monday night football match between the Denver Broncos and the San Diego Chargers have been quite exciting for the football lovers. Denver Broncos who has been playing quite well in the recent matches defeated the Chargers on the October 19 match. The final score of the Monday night football match was Denver Broncos 34 and San Diego Chargers 23. Eddie Royal had played in an outstanding manner and had returned one punt and kickoff to score touchdown. This is first time in the history of the Broncos that a player, in a single match had returned kickoff as well as punt to score touchdowns. With the excellent performance of Royal, the Denver Broncos easily managed a victory on their opponents.

Other players of the Denver Broncos team had also played well in the Monday night football match. In third quarter of the game, Kyle Orton had thrown a pass of 19 yards to Tony Scheffler [tight end]. Orton’s pass helped the team in scoring lead of 24-23. Brandon Stokley made a touchdown catch of five yards which also contributed to the win. Matt Prater has scored a field goal in the match that increased Bronco’s chances of winning upon Chargers.

San Diego Chargers had recorded a rushing yards of 73 yards while the Denver Broncos had scored rushing yards of 101 yards in the game. This difference in the rushing yards of the two team resulted to Bronco’s win in the game. Though the victory was clinched by the Broncos yet the game had been quite exciting as both the teams had played well in the match. Broncos is expected to retain this consistency in the coming matches.
