Beckham likely to join Tottenham Hotspur on three-month deal

LONDON - England and Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham has given the green light to a sensational three-month move to Tottenham Hotspur during this month’s transfer window.
Beckham had previously ruled out a return to the Premier League except with former club Manchester United.owever, Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp said: “He just said that he would like to come and play here at Tottenham. We’d have to move quickly.”
“I’ve left it to the people at the club. I’ve passed it on them. They’re talking to whoever they have to talk to at his club,” he added.
Redknapp also insists that the 35-year-old will not be coming to White Hart Lane just to make up the numbers.
“We’ve got no-one else to play on the right. David Bentley keeps picking up injuries on Friday morning. It’s a no brainer,” the Sun quoted the Tottenham Hotspur manager, as saying.
“When I took Teddy Sheringham to Portsmouth, I used to just say ‘Watch him train. Watch everything he does. He does it 100 per cent right’.”
“And I think Beckham’s like that. They tell me after training, he spends an hour out there practising. If young players see that, it’s better than all the coaching in the world,” he added.
Beckham, who had spent the last two winters on loan from Los Angeles Galaxy at AC Milan, had earlier confirmed that his move to the Italian club would not happen again. (ANI)
