Don’t expect Tevez or Fabregas to stay at Man City or Arsenal: Ex-England star

LONDON - While Manchester United remain favourites for the 2010-11 Premier League title, both Manchester City and Arsenal are serious contenders because of the incredible number of surprise results involving the teams at the top, claims former England international Ian Wright.

According to Wright, Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas and his Manchester City counterpart Carlos Tevez are both in a position to take their teams to the coveted title, even as their futures with the clubs are in doubt.

“Fabregas’ issues go back to the summer and the interest of his boyhood team Barcelona. Clearly, the Arsenal star wanted the move, yet was persuaded to remain at Arsenal. Since then, he has shown terrific professionalism. Maybe winning the title would see Fabregas remain at Arsenal,” says Wright in an article for The Sun.

He also says that Tevez too has been really professional on the pitch, despite problems with club officials.

Wright thinks Tevez will leave for greener pastures. He has won the title before with United, so doing it with City would not suddenly persuade him to stay. (ANI)
