“I think there is no doubt that we have got some really very talented players, some talented cricketers, who I think will make an impact in this World Cup. And talented cricketers who I am not sure have made such an impact, or had the opportunity to make that impact yet. So this is it, ” he added.
He further said that Alexei Kervezee and Wesley Barresi were the two young Netherlands batsmen to watch out for.
“In particularly I think looking out for Alexei Kervezee, the young opening batsman from…he is only 20-years old, playing in his second World Cup which is pretty impressive for a 20-year old. His development is, he has come out leaps and bounds and I think he will make a statement. We have got another opening batsman, Wesley Barresi, who is not necessarily a well-known player but someone who I think can handle this level of cricket, not only handle it but could do very well,” said Borren.
He hoped that a good performance and media coverage would help in developing the sport of cricket in the country. (ANI)
