England bowlers have an inviting target in injured Sehwag

BANGALORE - England’s strike bowlers are likely to aim at Indian opener Virender Sehwag’s ribs, after the latter hurt himself in the area during nets on Friday.
When the two sides meet at Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy Stadium, the English bowlers will be presented with an inviting target right at the start of the Indian innings.
Though not a serious blow, it probably provides England with enough evidence to settle on the best way to counter the smoking bat of Sehwag.
The bruise on Sehwag’s chest will act as a mental target for Stuart Broad and James Anderson if they find a pitch with a dash of pace to help them prevent the Indian innings getting off to a flying start.
Sehwag plays one way and England know what to expect. A repeat of the limp bowling and fielding performance against Holland will cost them the match.
In Nagpur, England were timid and a long way from the confident and sassy bunch who bossed the Ashes series.
England never raise themselves for matches against the smaller nations and it is one of the few attitudes that coach Andy Flower has been unable to eradicate.
But the prospect of playing against the best in the world puts more fire in English bellies than the Bangalore cuisine and England will be far more aggressive on Sunday.
Sehwag will give England a chance and they have to prove they are the best fielding side in the world. (ANI)
