WHANGAREI - Overnight leader and Indian champion Gaurav Gill (Team MRF Tyres, co-driver Glen Macneall) suffered gearbox problems and eventually had to be content with seventh place among the Asia Pacific Rally Championship contenders in the Rally of New Zealand that concluded here Sunday.

WHANGAREI - India's champion driver Gaurav Gill (co-driver Glenn Macneall) of Team MRF Tyres took a 48-second lead at the end of Leg 1 here of the Rally of New Zealand, the third round of the Asia Pacific Rally Championship.
