LONDON - After failing to stop Cristiano Ronaldo from joining Real Madrid, it seems Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has done nothing to convince Carlos Tevez that he has a future at the Old Trafford.

The Guardian reported Thursday that Ferguson has failed in his attempt to persuade Tevez to stay at Manchester United.

The daily reported that the Argentine has started negotiating with few clubs and a shift to city rivals Manchester City could be a possible move. Tevez is upset with Ferguson because he felt that he should have started for United in all their games last season but came in only as a substitute.

“You treat someone badly for a whole year, you don’t make it up with a telephone call, right?” the newspaper quoted a source close to Tevez as saying.

“It should take two to three weeks for Carlos’ future to be finally decided,” the source added.

Asked whether moving to City was a choice, the source said: “It’s an option. But no one option is more serious than another - City, Chelsea, Liverpool: they’re all options.”
