LONDON - Ace footballer Cristiano Ronaldo might have decided to leave Manchester United in favour of Real Madrid at his mother Dolores Aveiro’s insistence, suggest reports.

One Carly Haywood, a 25-year-old fan from Leamington Spa, Warks, has revealed that Dolores, 54, revealed her desire to see her son play for Real Madrid as she watched the midfielder playing against Arsenal at Old Trafford last month.

“She told me she wanted her son to play for Real Madrid. She put her arm around me and had a big smile on her face. I told her all us fans wanted him to stay but she just said: ‘I want him to go,’” the Daily Star quoted Carly as saying.

Ronaldo is set to leave Manchester United for a world record 80million-pound fee, and will take home 1millon pounds a month.

The deal will make him the world’s most expensive player.

It will earn him 48million pounds after tax over six years, according to reports in Spain. (ANI)
