Tufnell goes Aussie ’sledging’ with Ashes anthem song

LONDON - As cricket fever sweeps England, Marmite and Phil Tufnell have got together to give the Aussies a sound verbal thrashing with their new cricket anthem The Ashes Song.hil and the Wooden Urns’ comic song aims to sledge the Aussies and cheer the England players on to victory this summer.
Throughout the song Tuffers and his Wooden Urns holler their undying support for Straussy, Flintoff and the rest of the England players, SKY News reports.
At the same time the Aussies get a good panning through a range of cheeky sledges including a line about Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
Set to the tune of the classic song Two Little Boys, made famous by Rolf Harris, the song is now available for download from iTunes.
It costs just 79 pence and all profits from the single will be donated to the charity Cricket for Change.
To complement the single, Tuffers - plus some well known ‘guest artists’ have released a comic and patriotic music video.
Tuffers said: “What better way to show our support for the England lads this summer than by singing our support from the terraces.
“Having been sledged by the Aussies many, many times myself I am delighted that Marmite has enabled me to finally get my revenge with this belter of a tune, whilst also being able to show my love for the England team and support Cricket for Change, a charity very close to my heart.” (ANI)
