Haddin hopeful about injured Hauritz bowling in second innings

LONDON - Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin is hopeful about injured off-spinner Nathan Hauritz bowling in the second innings at Lord’s.
Hauritz dislocated the middle finger of his bowling hand on the opening day of the second Ashes Test.
According to the Herald Sun, a fierce drive from England skipper Andrew Strauss bent back Hauritz’s digit and he immediately grimaced after failing to hold onto the catch and left the field.
Haddin, who is himself no stranger to dislocated fingers, said Hauritz could still play a role with the ball in the match.
“It was good to see him get out in the field in that last session. That gives you some hope. We’ll see how he pulls up. With these sorts of dislocated fingers it can sometimes calm down after 24 hours once you’ve had time to throw them in some ice.I can tell you that for a fact,” Haddin was quoted, as saying.
Hauritz was the leading wicket taker in the drawn opening Test in Cardiff with six wickets.
He had X-rays on his finger and they showed no break in some good news on an otherwise painful day for the off-spinner. (ANI)
