NAGPUR - Cricketers and childhood friends Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli on Saturday shared stage at a public felicitation event in Nagpur after a recent controversy over strained relations between them.

Tendulkar and Kambli along with their coach Ramakant Achrekar attended the felicitation ceremony named Gaurav Guru Shishyancha, where both the cricketers were feted along with Achrekar.

Recently, controversy was ripe about Vinod Kambli’s remarks on a reality TV show, of allegedly accusing Sachin of not helping him enough to save his failing career.

According to reports, during the felicitation function, the duo was seen maintaining a distance from each other.

Meanwhile, while addressing the audience Tendulkar expressed his gratitude towards his mentor and coach Achrekar.

“People who have made contributions in our life, this is a great opportunity to thank them and it is a very good feeling that to honour them we are present here today,” said Tendulkar.

Tendulkar and Kambli have shared friendship for 26 years, which began from their schoolhood days at ‘Shardashram’. (ANI)
