Third seeds Paes and Dlouhy shocked at Cincinnati Masters

MASON - India’s Leander Paes and his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy have been shocked by Spaniards David Ferrer and Tommy Robredo 2-6, 4-6 in the pre-quarter-finals of the at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tennis tournament here.
Ferrer, who lost his singles second round to Reger Federer from a winning position, and Robredo, who was upset by Jeremy Chardy in the first round, took it out on Paes and Dlouhy combining Thursday.
Shortly after his singles match against World No.1 Federer, Ferrer was back on the court with Robredo and they eased past the Czech-Indian tandem in 56 minutes, capitalising on three of six break point opportunities.
Ferrer and Robredo, who improved to a 6-11 record as a team, advanced to their first quarter-final since their partnership debut in 2005 — also in Ohio.
The Spaniards next meet No. 8 seeds Lukasz Kubot and Oliver Marach, who prevailed over American wild cards John Isner and Sam Querrey 4-6, 6-2, 10-8.
In the other matches, top seeds Bryan twins, Mike and Bob, of the US defeated Max Mirnyi of Belarus and Israeli Andy Ram 6-4, 6-2, sixth seeds Mariusz Fyrstenberg Marcin Matkowski of Poland beat Frenchmen Jeremy Chardy Gilles Simon 6-2, 6-4.
