England Ashes heroes’ 10,000 pound all night booze bender

LONDON - England’s victorious cricketers went on a marathon drinking session after their Ashes triumph, with man of the match Stuart Broad and his teammates drying the hotel bar twice during the party which went on till 5 in the morning.

The heroes ran up a bill of more than 10,000 pounds after piling into the booze still dressed in cricket whites.

Pals teased Broad after he was surrounded by a string of beautiful girls at the bash, The Daily Star reports.

Friends chanted “is she really going out with you?” as the fast bowler chatted to a sexy blonde in front of his girlfriend.

The Ashes winners plus 40 guests tucked into a buffet and silver trays of chicken, salmon and fruit salad. Earlier the players had got stuck into the booze at The Oval.

The stars kicked off their drinks party with endless trays of Red Bull and vodka, but soon drank their private bar dry, the report says.

Sixty boxes of Corona, half of which had to be fetched from a downstairs bar after supplies ran out, were downed along with champagne, wine and cocktails.

One partygoer said: “The private bar had at least 4,000 pounds worth of stock in it before they had to send for more supplies at about 1am.”

The partygoer said: “A lot of the cricketers sloped off to bed after 1.30am but Stuart was the life and soul of the party. He played the heart-throb and went round the room chatting to girls even though his girlfriend was getting a bit jealous.”

“Paul Collingwood was there to the bitter end too. They deserved another lot of medals after getting through that party.”

Worse-for-wear Flintoff stumbled back to his room on the third floor at 1.30am. He mumbled as he crashed out of the lift: “I’m too old to party. I’m done.” (ANI)
