Quiet Harbor wins $48,000 feature at Monmouth Park
OCEANPORT, N.J. — Quiet Harbor has won the $48,000 allowance feature at Monmouth Park, holding off Namaste’s Wish by a neck.
Quiet Harbor charged into the lead at the eighth pole Friday and won her third straight race at the track.
The 4-year-old filly, trained by Shug McGaughey and ridden by Eddie Castro, covered the mile over a firm turf course in 1:34 1-5.
The winner returned $5.80, $3.40 and $2.10. Namaste’s Wish, the second choice in the field of six fillies and mares, paid $3 and $2.10. Remoulade was another two lengths back in third and returned $2.20.
