Kim, Pettersen share early lead in Canada
PRIDDIS, Alberta — Song-Hee Kim shot a tournament-record 62 Friday to share the lead midway through the second round at the Canadian Women’s Open.
The 21-year-old South Korean is looking for her first LPGA Tour victory. She was tied at Priddis Greens with Suzann Pettersen, who had a 68.
Michelle Wie seemed likely to miss the cut for the first time this season. She rebounded with a second-round 69 but was tied for 98th.
Kim’s round started with six straight birdies. She finished two strokes ahead of Rawson’s course record set a day earlier.
First-round leader Anna Rawson was among the afternoon starters and was two behind Kim and Pettersen. Janice Moodie (65) and M.J. Hur (67) were another shot back.
