Bolt wins 200-meters race in World Athletics Final

THESSALONIKI, Greece — Usain Bolt has finished his season with another victory, cruising to victory in the 200 meters in 19.68 seconds at the World Athletics Final.

The Olympic and world champion was fast out of the bend as usual Sunday but relaxed toward the end, when he realized he would not be setting another world record. Wallace Spearmon of the United States was second in 20.21 and Brendan Christian of Antigua was third in 20.65.

Bolt said he was “really tired, but I did what I had to do and I was happy.”

This was the last race of the season for Bolt, who said he will return to Jamaica to celebrate his world records in the 100 and 200 at last month’s world championships.
