SEATTLE — Alaska Airlines says it’s sponsoring short-track speed skater Apolo Ohno in his quest to win a sixth medal at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia.

An airline spokesman, Paul McElroy, said Tuesday it’s not disclosing the amount of money involved. He says Alaska and Ohno are following strict Olympic rules about the sponsorship.

The Seattle-based airline is setting up a Web site to post exclusive content such as Ohno’s personal blog.
