South Africa beat New Zealand by five wickets

CENTURION - South Africa beat New Zealand by five wickets in their Champions Trophy Group B encounter at the Supersport Park here Thursday.

The hosts bowled out New Zealand for 214 in 47.5 overs and then reached the target in 41.1 overs for loss of five wickets.

For South Africa Wayne Parnell took 5-57 and AB de Villiers scored an unbeaten 70 runs.

For New Zealand, Ross Taylor was the top scorer with 72 runs.
