RANCHI - Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been fined Rs.100 for not registering his sports utility vehicle Hummer.

According to the District Transport department, Dhoni did not apply for registration on time. Dhoni’s family submitted the form for registration last month.

According to Motor Vehicle Act, one has to apply for registration within a week of purchase of the vehicle and pay the road tax. Dhoni failed to apply within a week, said A.K. Banka, the District Transport Officer of Ranchi.

Dhoni purchased the Hummer in July. He returned to Ranchi from New Delhi by road July 31.

Hummer is the latest addition to Dhoni’s fleet of vehicles. He has one Mitsubishi Pajero, two Scorpios and a Toyota Corolla. He also has a Harley Davidson bike, a Yamaha 650 cc sports bike and a Kawasaki Ninja 1200 cc.
